Please don't be surprised that I write so much about beaches. But Greece has about 13,500 km of coastline and about 3,000 islands. On Sunday morning, we left our Robinson Crusoe spot. To continue driving as close to the coast as possible, Burki only put 3.2 bar of air in the tires. We drove through agricultural areas and small cedar forests. We finally took a look at the lake in front of Zacharo. Otherwise, we always just passed by.
We found today's parking space as planned in the forest of Elea. A cedar tree provides shade. It's still quite busy here. But with about 5 km in length, it's spread out nicely. The endlessly long sandy beach, behind it is a dune area, and then comes the forest. A particularly beautiful spot for all camping friends. The baker comes by in the morning. There are 3 wells to fill up with water. But be careful, you should look at the water in a clear container before filling up the tank. The first well had cloudy water for us. A Greek explained to us at the next well that there had been problems with the pipeline a few days ago. There are flyers from various delivery services hanging on the trees. And somewhere there is also a tavern, the footpath is signposted. The address for the laundry is also displayed on the trees. As you can see, you can definitely stay here for a while. That's why we decided to stay until Tuesday as well.
