Today there was simply nothing on the agenda... Except for relaxing. So first, sleep in until 9:30 am. Then have breakfast, go back to the room, chill for a bit, and then go for a manicure and pedicure. Hmmm, but where can we find one? Doesn't matter, we have plenty of time. So we strolled through Chiang Mai and looked around. Eventually, we found a massage salon. But it wasn't quite right. It started off promising. They washed our feet and did our nails... But then, nothing more. But there's supposed to be more to a pedicure. Oh well, maybe they do things differently here. I would have gladly skipped the manicure too, it couldn't have been any better. And it wasn't. Even the nail polish chipped within half an hour. But hey, it only cost 20€. And we were treated nicely. Maybe we'll try again in Bangkok. Then we went back home, chilled some more, and got picked up at 3 pm for a hot oil massage. Blissful 2.5 hours of kneading from head to toe. Sooo good. Not so good was that our calves, thighs, and even upper arms were still sore from kayaking and elephant riding and so on, major muscle soreness. That's why the massage was sometimes quite painful. But it still felt good. From the massage salon, we were driven straight to the night market, where we had a delicious dinner and did some shopping, before falling tired but happy into bed. Wonderful day. It did rain heavily today, but we were just eating, so it didn't matter. Rather impressive. Besides, I don't mind when it rains, as long as it's warm.
