So today we went to the southernmost point of the North Island. The short stretch was half tar-sealed, the other half gravel road.
And there it was. Majestic on the rock, 253 steps up. It was great that we were the only ones there at that time. So we could have the moment just to ourselves.
Unbelievable but we had 'nice' weather, the person from the campsite said it was great weather, little wind (wind force 6) and warm! (9° C). 😂😂😂 The seals on the way were also worth a little stop.
Afterwards, we crossed the island from the South Pacific to the Tasman Sea to Himatangi Beach. Including some little stops along the way.
Since we didn't feel like cooking anymore, we found a small takeaway shop, surprise! Family-size food in paper, fish, hot dog, chicken and fries until we couldn't eat anymore.
A little walk on the beach (which is a road at low tide) ended the day.
