Beach.
OK, there's a little bit more 😊 While Zoe got a manicure/pedicure (boyfriend/friend is coming soon), I explored the area. One bay more beautiful than the other, like pearls on a pearl necklace. One month is never enough to try them all. Napili Beach was the choice of the day - you can't really go wrong here. With the ultra cool and integrated SPF sun umbrella, we planted ourselves right in the middle of the beach and did nothing. Occasionally dipping into the water, sharing the sea with turtles, watching Americans picnicking, listening to podcasts - life can be so beautiful 😊
I found out via Facebook that another St. Moritzer (Alexander Schmidt) is on the island, and we arranged to meet at the Waldorf Astoria for a drink. Crashing the pool would be worth it here! Surprisingly, the valet parker kept our cars safe when Alex and we arrived - they didn't quite fit in with the Mustangs and Teslas of the world, I must say. Alex has already been here in Maui for the 20th time and had plenty of good tips for Zoe. Dinner was at a bar in a beautiful shopping center that we had already visited. Next to us was a woman eating alone who sought contact with us. She had been coming here for 50 years with her husband, and now that he has passed away, she wanted to continue the tradition. We had a nice conversation, lots of laughter, and closed the bar 😉 I see the whole thing as a bit of training for retirement - I think I would handle it well 😊

Ok, I will provide a bit more 😊 whilst Zoe was getting a Manicure/Pedicure (Boyfriend/friend is coming soon), I explored the area. There is one beach nicer than the other, like pearls on a pearl necklace. One month would never suffice to try them all. I choose Napili beach for the day - you cant really go wrong here at all. With our ultracool and integrated SPF protection sun umbrella, we installed ourselves in the middle of the bay and did absolutely nothing. Sometimes we jumped into the sea, shared the water with the turtles, watched the Americans having their picknicks, listen to podcasts - live can get much better 😊
Via Facebook I learned that a St. Moritz friend (Alexander Schmidt) is also on the island, and we met at the Waldorf Astoria for a drink. Pool-crashing would definitely be worth while here! The valet-parker did maintain contanance when Alex and we showed up with our cars - they somehow did not fit the Mustangs and Teslas lined up there..
Alex is for the 20th time here in Maui and was full of good tips for Zoe. For dinner we went to a bar in a beautiful shopping mall we had visited before. Next to us was a elderly lady having dinner on her own and soughed the contact with us. For 50 years she came here with her husband, now that he passed, she wanted to maintain the tradition. We had a lovely chat, loads of laughter and closed the bar 😊 I do see this all a bit like a training for when I get retired - I think I would manage quite well 😊
