Today I finally moved! However, not directly to my new host family, but first to Henara, a staff member of AIESEC, because I couldn't stay with Maike's family anymore. But since she lives faaaaaaaaaar away from my workplace, I can't stay with her and will move again tomorrow - hopefully for the last time. I'm a little sad because I get along super well with Henara. She's almost the same age as me and can even speak a little bit of German because she lived in Hamburg for three months. We instantly liked each other and had so many things to talk about - she loves series and movies just as much as I do, and I have actually found an Outlander fan here (no wonder I would love to stay here :D). She lives with her mother and her dog Thor in a huge house, where everyone has their own bathroom in their room. For Brazilian standards, this is real luxury and comparable to a villa in Germany. But I'm sure we'll stay in touch even if I have to leave again tomorrow. Until half an hour ago, I didn't know where I was going until Louisa's family (another German - Floripa is obviously a magnet for German volunteers) agreed to host me for the next 5 weeks. I'm still a little sad that I had to leave Maike and her family because I got used to them very quickly and already had a pretty good orientation. But above all, I will miss Maggie (Maike's host dog, see photo). :D She reminds me of Dobby from Harry Potter. She always watched over us (she thinks she's a big, intimidating dog, but she's actually smaller than most cats) and always warmly greeted us when we came home. Despite everything, I'm really relieved that the uncertainty will end tomorrow. Originally, my internship was supposed to start tomorrow, but our start was postponed to Monday, for some reason. That's why I won't be able to report about my work until next week. But now I'm going to sleep for now because in Brazilian standards, we're going to the city very early tomorrow (10 am) :D Boa noite e até manhã!
