In the afternoon we took a small boat to Sun Island. The lower deck was already full, so we sat on the deck for the two-hour journey.
Sun Island and Moon Island are considered the cradle of Inca culture.
However, the meager ruins here do not give the impression of having produced such a great culture. 😁
But the island is beautiful. There are only steep, narrow paths here.
Donkeys serve as means of transportation.
Our hotel is located at the top of the mountain ridge of the island. Getting there is very difficult. Climbing steep stairs with luggage at 4,000 meters above sea level is anything but a piece of cake. But it was worth it.
And the sunsets are overwhelmingly beautiful.
The bedding in our hotel. Some Christmas atmosphere must be there, after all. 😂
Having breakfast here is also great.
On the 7th of December we will drive back to Cobacabana.
