I was out and about in Split from 9 a.m. I met fellow travelers, a couple, who I joined. Together we wandered through the old town and admired the remains of ancient buildings such as Diocletian's Palace.
We split up because I wanted to see "Diocletian's Dream", a "VR Experience". I arrived in time for the 10:30 a.m. performance and, like five other visitors, was given 3D glasses and headphones. Then a show started that was reminiscent of a detailed computer game, with the difference that you could see in all directions into this virtual world. The guide through this world was Diocletian's educated house slave, who told us about his master and the world at that time. Very nicely done!
After that I went for a stroll and some shopping. I bought a snorkel and mask at a market near the harbor because the equipment I bought in Barbados unfortunately didn't work (watertightness issues). We'll see when I get a chance to test it.
Then I went back to the ship. I didn't feel like having lunch today, which was probably due to the heat. Instead, I spent part of the afternoon in the swimming pool.
In the evening I saw part of the show of the French juggler Francois Borie. Yes, the guy was good, but his art is boring.
