This year, all of our vacation plans have been thrown off by Corona. After our ski vacation with the whole family couldn't take place, we also had to cancel our Florida vacation.
So we decided to go boating on the Müritz for a week and managed to snag the last available boat.
Off we go to the north of Germany.
And already we find ourselves in a detour due to a full closure of the A1. I already know why vacationing in Germany is not for me. Grrrrrr😩
It seems like everyone in Germany has taken up cycling.
Let's hope that the cycling infrastructure is sufficient.🚴♀️🚴🚴♂️🚴♀️🚴
After leaving all the traffic jams behind us, we cross the zone border😂😂
Welcome to Mac Pomm😊
We have to take over the boat in Lärz, a tiny village on the Mirow Canal.
Once we arrived there, we have to watch a video for the charter certificate before we receive the practical instruction on the boat.
The boat is reeeeeally big 🤦♀️
We board the boat with the boat instructor, who explains all the switches and buttons to us, and then take a test drive on the Mirow Canal.
When turning on the canal, you need quite a bit of feeling with the size of the boat.
After mooring back at the harbor and it's already quite late, we decide to spend the evening at the harbor and start in the morning.
