Despite the dozens of RVs, the night was quiet. And unlike the campsites where we always wondered where the residents of these white carriages were, there was life on the square with increasing heat. Of course, it may have been because 90% of the cars had Italian license plates...
San Remo surprised us. With a good Italian breakfast and a medieval old town resembling a North African kasbah.
On the journey - now with Austria as our final destination - we packed another lighthouse and bid farewell to the sea for good.
Becoming tired of driving and in search of a place to spend the night, we made another nice discovery and found a farm in the Ligurian Mountains where we could park for the night and had access to a communal room where the oven crackled and a sanitary area where the shower was hot. A beautiful place where young and old people from all over the world grow kiwis, offer a few guest beds, and are also open to travelers like us.
