Shortly after 9 o'clock, we headed from Homestead towards Miami directly to the Wynwood district, known for its street art. After admiring the first works at the roadside, we went to the Wynwood Walls. Afterwards, we walked through a few nearby blocks. Really an impressive neighborhood. Some pictures emerged. After a quick snack with a cheeseburger, we went back to the rental car to return it.
When we arrived there...there was simply no one at the counter. So we asked someone and first received the information 'no one has come today' - Shock! Another security officer in the station then said 'he's having lunch or something...'. About an hour later, an Avis employee finally appeared and we were able to return the rental car. In between, there was also a clash between an angry train customer and the employees there. You really experience a lot. ;-)
'Bravely' we then decided to take an Uber to the hotel. It worked wonderfully and we had a cool driver. When we arrived at the hotel, the next shock - they couldn't find our hotel reservation at first. But luckily that was cleared up and we were able to check in.
To conclude the eventful day, we briefly went to the beach, stretched our toes in the water, and ate at a small Cuban restaurant.
