Our last stop, the 'Vida Aventura Ranch' in the middle of nowhere somewhere between La Fortuna and the Pacific coast. There is nothing else around here and the way here was quite bumpy, we were very happy to have our all-wheel drive. The ranch houses horses, cows, and a few dogs. There is a pool and an outdoor dining area. We had imagined it to be something else, at least that there were more animals on a ranch and that you could do more things without always having to pay extra. There was zip lining but of course for $35, the kids half price, and horseback riding for 1 hour also for $35 without a discount for children. That was a bit too much for all of us, especially since Lea couldn't do zip lining anyway. So Torben rode with Ida and on another day he did zip lining with Ida and Mia. The horseback ride was unfortunately in pouring rain and therefore not super great, but Ida still enjoyed it. However, the zip lining thrilled all three of them....
Since we had a kitchen in the small apartment, we then decided to have breakfast and dinner there because we would have had to pay extra for that too, which would have been okay if there had been a certain choice but besides Gallo Pinto and a pancake for breakfast there wasn't much. So, we preferred to do it ourselves because after 2 weeks of rice and beans for breakfast, it's enough (that doesn't mean it's bad, on the contrary but still always the same)...
But the view from our apartment was great, right into the green with horses and cows, exactly to Lea's taste and the intense green is really unbeatable....
