Sweden welcomed us again and we immediately found a nice spot by a bathing lake. Or so we thought, until we were proven wrong in the middle of the night. Right at midnight, several cars arrived with teenagers. The music was turned up loud and the grills and shishas were brought out. And they started partying until the early morning hours. We fled and found a quiet spot for the rest of the night at a sports field just 15 minutes away. So our beauty sleep was saved.
The next morning, we continued on to Nysäter to visit the Viking museum. It is operated by the local association. Small but made with great care. The outdoor area can be visited for free. Not even 500m away, there was a motorhome parking area with showers in the local harbor. And a few meters up the road, there was a small craftsman cafe. Here, the women of the town sell self-made crochet or knitwear. To our surprise, there was even a local history museum hidden on the upper floor, which we were able to visit for free and even have coffee there.
