After spreading out despite only one night in our huge accommodation and then packing everything up again in the morning, we went back out into the heat. However, a short time later there was a cool down thanks to the Aerial Tramway. This is the largest rotating cable car in the world. We started at an altitude of 800 meters. When we arrived at the mountain station, we had almost 1.8 km of altitude difference compared to the starting point. There was no trace of heat anymore, we wandered around a bit at 13 degrees. Unfortunately, due to the clouds, the view of the surroundings, including Palm Springs, was denied. Nevertheless, it was an excursion worth it. 2.5 hours later we were back down again.
By chance, the Desert Hill Premium Outlet in Cabazon was on our way to San Diego, which made Steffi's heart beat faster. With a little more luggage than before, we reached our accommodation on Shelter Island in San Diego late in the evening.
