We arrived at Trondheim train station in the morning at 6:30 am with the night train.
Very tired, we locked up our backpacks and looked for a suitable place for breakfast. We found it on top of a hill, which already offered the first beautiful view of Trondheim and its harbor.
After eating and relaxing, we continued to Kristiansten Fortress.
There, we walked around the walls and admired the city from even higher up.
We returned to the city itself via Trondheim's oldest city bridge. We visited Nidaros Cathedral and its associated park.
We took another longer break on the banks of the Nidelva River. When we started to feel cold, we made our way to Rockheim. On the way, we stopped at Stiftsgardpark for lunch.
Arriving at the museum, we were looking forward to a warmer environment (because the outside temperature was 10°C). The exhibition started with interactive presentations of Norwegian pop and rock music. When a ukulele crash course was announced, we immediately joined in. However, we were also the only ones who didn't speak Norwegian. So we learned to sing more children's songs in Norwegian than to play the ukulele, as we already know that from the guitar.
After visiting the museum, we took a small candy break and then played cards, as we had already seen the whole city and were simply too tired to stay outside in the cold.
After dinner, we are now waiting for the next night train, which will take us to Bodo this time!
Hopefully you sleep better than we do, and see you tomorrow!
(Side fact: 13km of walking, upcoming night train: 9.5h)
