Old Town

Promenade Part 2 was early this morning, it could definitely become my favorite place here. Sitting on a bench in the sun all morning, snacking on fruit and looking at the sea has something extremely meditative, especially when you can see pelicans and - hold your horses - hummingbirds🦅

Eventually, I also decided to get up and continue walking towards the old town, which is a complete contrast to the rest of the city. The buildings are consistently colonial, with some ruins in between, and tourists can be found on every corner. Nevertheless, it is super beautiful, with lots of small shops (@C I found a shop where we would have come out with several bags of clothes, if at all) and you can buy something to eat every two meters.

But as in every city, this also makes it clear in which areas money is invested and security is created. (…Uniforms…)

Later there will be an evening walk along the promenade and tomorrow it will be really exciting!
