Winklerner Hut & Mini Golf

On this beautiful day, we decided to take a more relaxed bike tour due to the forecasted rain showers in the afternoon. We drove for a refreshing 20 minutes to Iselsberg, to the parking lot of the Gasthaus Schöne Aussicht. After loading the bikes from the car and packing our snacks and drinks, we cycled a fantastic uphill for about 600 meters in altitude.

We repeatedly caught a glimpse of beautiful hiking trails to the left and right while riding uphill on the well-compacted gravel surface, which we planned to ride down later. After short breaks and an hour and a half of pedaling, we reached the Winklerner Hut. We had a nice snack on a bench with a beautiful view and enjoyed the sunshine.

Feeling well-fed and ready for the descent, we wanted to take a detour to the Loaner Alm via a hiking trail. However, an excavator operator working on the path made it very clear to us with a firm voice that we had no business on the hiking trail. After a brief conversation about where we were headed, the discussion quickly turned friendly, and he explained the route to the Loaner Alm via the forest road - which we of course already knew...

After a few meters back on the path we came from, we spared ourselves the gravel road to the Loaner Alm and immediately threw ourselves onto the trails we spotted on both sides of the road while going uphill. With smiles on our faces and a flow in our spirits, we glided down the very easy but idyllic hiking path to the car.

Back at the campsite, we prepared delicious tortillas and pondered where our next adventure might take us. The weather doesn't seem to be particularly bright for the next few days. A spontaneous decision led us to a game of mini-golf in the evening, where Mini's years of experience helped him to victory.
