The night was anything but cozy! We had a room with bunk beds, all made of bamboo and straw. The bed was as hard as a board and there was a mosquito in my mosquito net that bothered me all night long. I don't think I slept a single minute! Around 4 o'clock in the morning, I couldn't take it anymore and went outside. I grabbed a blanket and sat next to the still burning bonfire. It was beautiful! The sunrise, guys jogging or playing football in the early morning, and women cleaning up the washed-up dirt. Now I'm waiting for the others to wake up and start the day!
After the sleepless night, we went batiking at 10 o'clock. With 2 yards of white fabric, we were allowed to choose a pattern that we wanted on the fabric. We applied the pattern to the fabric using hot wax. Then it was dyed in our selected color (I chose dark purple) - everything that was not printed with wax took on this color; it remained white under the wax. After drying, the fabric was washed with hot water to wash away the wax. I will now have the next dress made from this fabric.
In the afternoon, I lay down on the beach and enjoyed the free time!🤗
In the evening, there was another bonfire and Kobi's group showed us how to play the drums this time! We were all very tired and fell asleep on the beach around 9:30 p.m., and when the first person woke up around 1 a.m., we went back to the accommodation. The evening was very nice!
