The night was less pleasant due to rain and strong storm...the intense shaking of the camper van half a meter from the cliff did not provide a restful sleep. Nevertheless, in the morning, we search for the dinosaur footprints that should be here at low tide...unfortunately without success.
So on we go, first to Kilt Rock waterfall...where the water of a river falls over the cliff into the sea, and then to Dunvegan Castle, the residence of the 31st Chief of the Highlands. Here, there is also an impressive garden to admire.
We drive back south on the island, with a brief stop at the Tullisker Distillery...after searching for a while, we find no parking space for our vehicle (seems like the whiskey doesn't want to be drunk by us), so we cross the bridge back to the mainland to Eilean Donan Castle. A great facility on a small island off the coast. Several films have been shot here, including one of the James Bond movies where MI6 had their headquarters.
A bit tired (oh, little sleep), we drag ourselves to the campsite in Glen Nevis near Ft. William where we manage to secure one of the last spots.
