Jamaica - Day 9 - Kingston and Port Royal

For breakfast, we had jam sandwiches and bananas again, unfortunately 2 out of 4 bananas were rotten. Not a good cut.

We took it easy on the 9th day and didn't leave the hotel until noon.

Port Royal was the main focus of the day.

We took a public bus to the bus station first. There were a lot of people and even more stalls. Compared to the tourist areas in Jamaica, we were hardly approached in Kingston.

Then we took the bus to the (real) Port Royal which is located outside the city. We actually thought that the first scene of Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed there. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Still, it was an amusing day with cannons, fortresses, and the real pirate feeling ;)

Thanks to the bus rides, we also got an impression of Kingston. Not bad at all.
