Day 4 with the king stage from Roque de los Muchachos
Today we were expecting the king stage. From Roque de los Muchachos at an altitude of 2426 meters down the South-West ridge, the Torre del Time and the Camino del Rey. A real freeride classic!
First, we went along a flowy hiking trail. There were also some counter ascents.But soon, we encountered the first more difficult sections.In the upper part, we unfortunately had clouds shortly after the start. But as you can see, the trail leads wonderfully along the ridge.Breathtaking!This is how we descend the Roques. In some parts, it invites you to go full speed, but the classic always shows its claws. In the middle section, it gets extremely rocky, with loose gravel rumbling down the slope...With a view of the Atlantic, we ride over lava rocks.Incredible!To finish, we descend over the Camino del Rey with countless hairpin turns down to Tazacorte.Once we arrived at the beach, we treat ourselves to a San Miguel. The day had to offer us over 20 km of trails, 700 m of counter ascents, and a total of nearly 3100 meters of descent. A must for every La Palma bike trip.
