Today we were on a completely different journey!
The first tour we chose based on our various apps would have gone to megaliths, but unfortunately it said "No dogs allowed!" again. I always wonder how vicious the dogs were and how unreasonable the dog owners...
We rescheduled and then headed to Omey Island when the tide was low. We first went in the lane that no one had dared to go into at the time. It was funny because you know that just an hour before the water was quite high here. The low tide was forecast for 12 p.m., but we were really lucky just before 10 a.m.
The island is sparsely populated, the majority of the inhabitants are sheep and cows, unfortunately there are also many rabbits, which almost made Nerone gasp. But he didn't catch anyone, only saw them hopping from a distance. The hike is also determined by the fact that some farmers do not grant rights of way, but it always provides a great view of the surrounding area and also lonely beaches.
We then tested our Labrabulli on the beach and the fairway, which required the car wash afterwards.
Clifden as a place is touristy, yes, there are the Ireland shops here too, but still small and nice enough that you can actually walk through the place.
We went shopping and Christian took advantage of the sun before the drizzle to take a dip in the sea.
Weather in Ireland is funny.
