Before we could start the city trip, we first took the camper to the landlord's station. Since the domestic water tank was still leaking and we had planned two stops in national parks, a solution was essential.

Luckily the Australians are absolutely uncomplicated and within an hour the thing was like new again. We left the van at a park and ride and took the train into the city center to avoid looking for a parking space and high costs. It worked without any problems and the weather was better today, so we only got a few small raindrops during the day.

Brisbane has just over two million inhabitants, is located on the “Brisbane River” and has a lot to offer.

Ines had completed her English certificate here over ten years ago, so she could still remember a few corners and maneuvered us through the business district, over the botanical gardens and along the river. In between we had lunch with the best view of the skyline before we changed parts of the city on the free ferry.

There was a nightcap at the “Story Bridge”, which is very reminiscent of the Brooklyn Bridge in New York with its design.

Unfortunately there were too many clouds in the sky so we couldn't see the sunset over the city. We walked across the bridge and took the ferry back at dusk, which was equally impressive and beautiful to see.

After a short stop at the supermarket, we went back to the camper or on the highway again through the city and off to the campsite, where we fell into bed after dinner.
