I start the day with breakfast at Loris Diner, just around the corner. Then quickly get a 3-day pass for the cable car and head to Fisherman's Wharf right on the Bay of the Pacific. It's a sunny, cool day.
During the ride to the Bay, I first realize how steep some of the streets are. Real ramps comparable to Lampelberch/Zimmerloh. Crazy in such a metropolis, it goes up and down like on a big bumpy road.
At the Bay itself, the place is bustling. What Times Square is to New York, Ocean Drive is to Miami, or Bourbon Street is to New Orleans, Fisherman's Wharf is here. Lots of people, lots of boats, and 2 bridges. The world-famous one is not so easy to see, it's a bit hidden. But after a few meters of walking, I finally see the Golden Gate Bridge. Majestically stretching across the Bay and behind it, the huge Pacific. At the beginning in New York, the view was on the Atlantic, really amazing.
After walking around all the piers, I decide to take a short 2-hour cruise through the San Francisco Bay.
And it's worth it. The ride on and under the Golden Gate Bridge is fantastic. The city's skyline is also great.
The ride also goes to the 'other bridge'. Funny, it looks exactly the same except for the color, but no one knows it.
Off the ship and I get some Chadeld Bread Bowl and then Fish and Chips. Very delicious 😄
Afterwards, I go up again (really steep) to the observation tower on Telegraph Hill. Unfortunately, closed 😐
So another day comes to an end in a really great city.
Tomorrow, I'll be cycling across the Golden Gate.
You can also rent racing bikes 😆😆
stay tuned
