Arrival on the Corn Islands
The ferry that took us about 7 hours over the sea
The first morning - we were already amazed by the view right after waking up, and then Kennedy, the grandson of our host Elsa, came around the corner and asked if we wanted a freshly picked coconut. It couldn't have been a better morning :)

Our little stilt hut
New morning, new coconut
Our two faithful companions on Little Corn - Elsa's dog and her son's
When we met Elsa's son's dog, he probably had 200 ticks all over his body (which is why we called him Tick). Unfortunately, he didn't like being freed from the pests, but we didn't give up and took every opportunity. After 2 days, Elsa apparently scolded her son and he put some pretty nasty tick repellent on Tick's fur, which at least got rid of most of the ticks.
One of our multiple visits to the beach bar where we had WiFi (we didn't have any in our accommodation, which was nice for a change :). But sometimes it was important for planning the next destination.
Nicaraguan cigar and Nicaraguan rum in the evening, overlooking the sea from our little terrace. That's the life :)
Janina's first cigar - not bad at all :)
On Sundays, there was a baseball tournament. Who would have thought that this is the number one sport here?
Snack at the baseball tournament: Fried tortillas with bean paste, pickled cabbage, cheese, and sour cream. Unfortunately, we had already eaten half of it when we decided to take a picture :)
Dog hygiene in Nicaragua: Throw him into the sea and he'll be clean. As you can see, it didn't work out so well.
A little snapshot on the beach :)
Doesn't it look like we're standing in front of a photo canvas?
:)
This nice guy is affectionately called Abuelo (grandpa) :) He didn't like the rain, so he gladly hid behind the bed in our hut.

Also in front of our hut: A tree with flat lid decoration
No, we weren't going to a bad taste party. It's one of those combinations that arise when traveling ;)

A wall made of glass bottles cemented together. Just in the middle of the village :)

A little nap on the ferry. That's how you make 6 hours go by.
The first affordable pizza that was actually pretty good. A little treat just before the trip to Bluefields, where we boarded the ferry.
