Day 14 - 03.07.2024 Kayak Tour and Hike to Inspiration Point

Today started off leisurely. Breakfast was at 8:30 am and after that, the children greeted the horses, played, and we read.

Shortly before noon, we went to the Ranch's boathouse and decided on 2 kayaks. Christoph, the owner of the Ranch, also came by and gave us a helping hand to launch into the water. We were the only ones on the lake. What a wonderful idyll. We passed by the island and found the dock at the other end of Clearwater Lake. Here we had a picnic with the lunch packs we received. Then we went directly into the forest for a hike to Inspiration Point. There were only narrow paths, sometimes the trails were not visible. But well marked by ribbons on the trees. It was partly steep uphill (and later similarly steep downhill), which was a real challenge for us. But we made it - even though July complained a lot :-)

We returned with the kayak and treated ourselves to an afternoon coffee break with glorious sunshine and a view.

We had dinner outside at the large table.
