Roadtrip Day 24/25 - Ningaloo Reef

E phatlaladitšwe: 10.10.2017

At 10 o'clock in the morning we reached the city of Exmouth. There we wanted to get information about tours and attractions at Ningaloo Reef. Unfortunately, there were so many people there, and we didn't feel like waiting forever. We decided to spend the night in the national park at Ningaloo Reef instead. It is located on the opposite side of Exmouth and is about 70 km away. Ningaloo Reef is the largest biologically intact coral reef in the world and is 150 km long.

Our camp was beautifully located behind a sand dune. And the sea and the beach are simply wonderful. Unfortunately, the water is very cold and there is a cool wind, so we didn't dare to go into the water. The daytime temperature here is 25-28 degrees and it is cloudy. We took a walk on the beach and watched a beautiful sunset.

The next morning we stopped at several beach sections. But only to look at. Back in the city of Exmouth, we went to a well-equipped campsite where we will stay for 4 nights. In the afternoon, we went to the tourist center again and signed up for a whale watching tour with sunset. In addition, we will go diving for the first time on Thursday. We will take a boat out to the sea and go diving with a diving instructor for 2 x 50 minutes. We are particularly excited that there will be a BBQ for lunch, and they are well prepared for people with celiac disease. We will be well taken care of with gluten-free options on Thursday.
