Rainbow Beach, Agnes Waters (1770) and the way to Airlie Beach

E phatlaladitšwe: 16.06.2019

10.06 - 16.06

Ahh 3 days off with the boys! It was absolutely delightful! I had a very relaxed time while my gang of boys was on Fraser Island. Nevertheless, I was naturally excited to see the gang again on 13.06!

On 14.06, after enjoying breakfast with dolphins in Tin Can Bay, we all continued to Agnes Waters or the Town of 1770, a small coastal town. Captain Cook supposedly set foot on Australian soil for the second time here in 1770, and it is also the northernmost coastal town in Queensland that can still be considered crocodile-free. From now on, it's all about keeping an eye out at the beach.

In Agnes Water, we stayed two nights at a very nice campsite right on the beach. Unfortunately, I got sick, so I couldn't enjoy everything as much. However, the shade of the lonely little bay we found after a 15-minute walk was a good place to recover.

On 16.06, we continued to Yeppoon where we took a sunset bath in the lagoon and spent the night there. After spending a relaxed morning at the lagoon on 17.06 and finishing the photoshoot there, we drove the rest of the day until we reached Cape Hillsborough.

Timo wanted to watch the sunrise here to see kangaroos and wallabies on the beach. And yes, I have to admit, the long drive was more than worth it. It was absolutely unforgettable! Our campsite was only separated from the small, beautiful bay by palm trees and some bushes, which lay completely deserted and looked like something out of a Pirates of the Caribbean movie with the silhouette of the mountains in the background. Simply paradisiacal. Especially in the gentle light of the sunrise... and there were actually kangaroos on the beach. Ayyy delightful! I'm still amazed.

Pictures will follow!!! I promise!!

So now we're in Airlie Beach and in 1 hour we'll go sailing around the Whitsunday Islands for 3 days. 😍⛵

So don't worry if you don't hear from me, I'm on the water. 🌅💦🌊
