My first weekend in Greece. After some research on what to do in Thessaloniki, I found out that the highest mountain in Greece is only an hour away by train. So, I found some people who are also interested in seeing Mount Olympus, and we booked a tour together. The tour guide picked us up at the train station of Litochoro. We drove for almost an hour to reach the first stop. We were all really excited to see what was waiting for us. We walked a short path and finally arrived. No one had expected such a view. An incredibly beautiful turquoise lagoon with a small waterfall. After we all took in this wonderful view, we put on our bathing suits and jumped into the crystal-clear water. Of course, this beauty also had a "evil" side. The water was freezing cold. It was only 3 degrees. We quickly got out of the water as soon as we got in. But for some of us, that was not enough of a thrill. We wanted to jump from the cliffs. But since this lagoon was not deep enough, we hiked to another lagoon. This one was as beautiful as the first one. Here, we could jump from the cliffs and bask in the sun. After all the adventure, we were all very hungry, so we looked for a taverna in the village and had some delicious Greek food.
