After a relaxed breakfast in the sun, we set off relatively quickly.
We leave the oldest city municipality Ptuj and head to Croatia. As soon as we cross the border, the landscape becomes beautiful. Small, pretty villages line up one after another and everything is green and slightly hilly. Croatia charges pretty high tolls on its highways. Half an hour drive - 15 euros. Since it would be much slower progress on country roads with a caravan, we bite the expensive bullet and pay the toll. On our way at Zagreb, we decide to make a stop at the Plitvice Lakes and find an accommodation there. The campsite turns out to be a real stroke of luck. A completely new camping resort, very quiet and beautifully designed. It is almost ideal for children. There is a great playground, an artificially created lake, a pool, a trampoline over water and a separate bathroom for children.
We briefly visit the Plitvice Lakes and check the possibilities. We decide to postpone it to tomorrow as it is already 4 pm and we haven't eaten anything except for breakfast until then. We find a restaurant and happily gobble up a huge pizza.
After that, Marik plays on the playground and we dip our feet in the lake and pool.
We end the evening with a Radler in front of the caravan and go to bed early.
