Relaxed and refreshed, I woke up around 8:00 am.
My family and friends had been awake for a long time. Yawn. We had a delicious breakfast together. After that, there was some handball work to be done while the kids played on the lawn.
Then quickly dressed for a trip to nearby Hvalpsund. We wanted to take a small car ferry over to the other side. It cost 80 DKK round trip, about 12€ for the two of us adults. A 10-minute trip to get some fresh air at the sea. Once we arrived, our destination was a small peninsula. There were also two railroad tracks and 3 carriages that delighted the railroad enthusiast heart. They were from the time when the ferry first started operating, around 1927.
Then we went back. When we arrived, we naturally had to indulge in a Danish hotdog. It was delicious.
After a chat with the lady at the tourist center, extensive testing of the playground, and a stroll down memory lane, we headed back.
After a refreshing break, we spent the first day quietly playing. First with the kids and then with RummiKub. Tomorrow we will continue...
