I forgot to mention one more thing...
So we took a taxi back to the island. This time it was a smaller taxi. On the boat, there were only the taxi couple and an older man who I had a nice conversation with. At the next stop, two young men joined who obviously knew the taxi captain and his wife. First, you have to drive along the coast for 25 minutes before turning into the mangroves. Just before we entered the mangroves, Marco suddenly said:
Oh look, we're driving straight on a wave. It was a bit like surfing but with the boat. At first, it was fun, but when we looked behind us and saw the waves getting bigger and the captain started to avoid them and change course, Mom got nervous. Elia quickly put on his life jacket, Noah crossed himself, and Marco exclaimed with joy. I held my breath, but when I noticed that the boys were excitedly taking out their smartphones to capture the adventure on video and didn't seem worried at all, I gained courage. 2 minutes later, the supposed fun was already over and we made it to the calm mangroves.
Marco said to Elia: You really wanted to go banana boating, wasn't this better?
Now we are back in a jungle lodge. Just before the gate, there is a sign that says "Beware of crocodiles".
I wonder what awaits us here. 🙈😂
