Swim in the morning and while we had breakfast, a baboon monkey 🙈 got through a small slit of the window in our room and stole an apple out of a bag. The hotel cleaning lady chased it out… little adventure!
We still did the Ratel Forest walk with the big Tree and added the small hiking loop to it. Then started the route to Mossel bay and stopped in Knysna for coffee. In search for some stamps, we tried to find the post office and walked down Longstreet where pretty much only local people were to be found. Eventually we found it and got to drop off the letter but no other stamps, like for postcards, were available. The post office lady was as friendly and helpful as any other P.O. employee anywhere in the world 😬😇
Knysna was no place for me. The waterfront is a collection of souvenir shops, restaurants and real estate offices, a bit soulless. For us for sure not a place to revisit.
Checked in at our Boutique hotel in Mossel bay and went for dinner at Delfino’s right at the waterfront. We’re having only a single night stay here.
