Almost like home 🏡

E phatlaladitšwe: 26.06.2016

Sao Paulo couldn't really convince us - city dull and weather even duller. Marilia, on the other hand, can score points with sunshine and warmth. We were welcomed into the family as if it were our own. First the good news: Marie has recovered from her stomach upset and everything is fine again.

On Friday we were able to do some shopping, of course the good Havaianas (similar to flip flops, but much more comfortable) couldn't be missing and Marie indulged her shoe addiction again. In the evening, a greasy dinner was a must. We had pizza and for dessert, a kind of pudding covered with fruits and chocolate.

On the occasion of Marie's host parents' 33rd wedding anniversary, we went out for Italian food. If we weren't constantly so full, we would eat loads of this stuff.

In between, Marie's representative Durval visited us. 10 years is a long time. But we don't talk about old stuff anyway.

In the evening, our paths separated. Marie went to the nail salon because of a broken fingernail, while Bine got some exercise at CrossFit. Here's an impression from the studio. According to the host sisters, she did quite well.

In the evening it was party time. After Mayara convinced us that she would love to do our makeup, we might have looked a bit overdressed in the face by German standards, but here no one knows us. Then we went to a bar with Marilia and her husband Samuel, two other friends, Mayara, and maybe her future husband. After that, we were allowed to experience the Brazilian nightlife, which is more focused on live music. Mayara made sure that Nossa Nossa was played, so we knew at least one song. There are voices claiming that there is a video where Marie sings on stage with the singer Nossa, but we believe: That's just a rumor.

At 5 o'clock in the morning we finally went to bed and after waking up, it turned out that Bine maybe didn't tolerate that passion fruit thing so well. She will surely get better soon - nothing can knock us down that quickly.

We think of you and will report again before we continue to the Amazonas - because there we probably won't have internet. But don't worry, we take care of ourselves.
