Departure at 7.00 am by ferry to the Whitsunday Islands, discovered by James Cook in 1770. Here we encountered the whitest beach in the world. We enjoyed a beautiful walk on the beach with Anna and simply enjoyed the experience of a deserted island. There is nothing more here than the beach, the sea, a few trees, and seagulls.
In the afternoon, we continued to Hamilton Island. We started with a delicious steak meal with the cockatoos.
And I really have to say this:
The Aussies are sooo child-friendly. Even on a deserted beach, they think ahead... and have a pop-up tent for every child, so they have a shaded spot and enough sand toys for everyone. There were also clean, thin swimsuits available for free (including Anna) because of the dangerous jellyfish. Just thought I'd mention it...
After a refreshing dip in the island pool and a delicious glass of wine, we explored the island and slowly ended the day. At 5 pm, we took the boat back to the mainland.
