Sunshine friends ☀
Even today, after a cold night that we had to spend with blankets and thick jackets due to air conditioning malfunctions, we had to get up early in the morning. 💤🍍
At nine o'clock our driver arrived, the same one who picked us up from the airport. 🚗✈
First, we went to Goa Gajah, also known as the Elephant Cave, which is an ancient temple complex. 🐘🌴
Next, we stopped at Gunung Kawi.
Gunung Kawi consists of seven-meter-high monuments that were carved into the stone to commemorate the funeral of King Udayana and his family. 🗿🏛
We also made a stop at Pura Tirta Empul. This water temple is said to have been created by the deity Indra in his battle against the demons, and its springs are believed to have spiritual and physical healing properties. 🏛💦
Our last destination was a city where silver jewelry is supposed to be made, but unfortunately, we could only find a small shop after a long search that didn't offer the usual mass-produced goods. 💍👑
Overall, it was a very exhausting, informative, and worthwhile day. 👍🏾😍
So now, after repairing our air conditioning, we are all tired and going to bed. 😂😴💤
