Another beautiful day is upon us. The sky is clear and the sun shows what it can do. A perfect opportunity today to drive to the Tännforsen waterfall, about 40 minutes away. But before we start, of course, we have to go for a walk in the morning. Since the route up wasn't that pretty, I'll try it down today. Definitely the better choice.
On the route, wide, clearly visible paths await us at first and later a cute, winding root path across the forest. The route found probably leads very far along to the next mountain. Unfortunately, only a few hiking trails are listed on Komood. But tomorrow we will try our luck ourselves and follow the local hiking markings. If the battery allows it, we will of course record the route with the app 🤗.
After a short time we come to a large bridge that runs over a sweet river. No matter where you go here. You listen to a constant soothing rushing water 🥰. Only Mia is quite disappointed that she is not allowed to go to the water. The crazy nut would probably try it here herself.
I had promised Ian that I would only go a little round. By our standards it was small 😅. Then we can take the slightly longer route back. The continuous climb, which was a bit steep, was quite exhausting. That's why we relaxed a little on our terrace 🤭.
Mia has definitely found her favorite spot.
At around 10 a.m. we finally went to the waterfall 🤗. Quite atypically, we were even prepared today and had spread bread and travel bananas in our luggage. Unfortunately, there is no parking lot a little further away, so you cannot hike to the waterfall.
The route follows a long, lonely road that ends at a dedicated (quite expensive) parking lot. The parking ticket could be booked easily via Easypark. Which surprises us. A maximum duration of 3 hours is indicated. For everything beyond that, an "annual ticket" must be booked. Even if this is probably a translation error, we set our clock to 3 a.m. for the time being. Unfortunately, the adjoining café is closed today. But we are prepared 🤭.
From the parking lot it is about 600m to the famous waterfall. There are many beautiful photo spots along the water. So now follows a pure flood of images. I just couldn't decide which ones are the most beautiful 😅.
Phew you managed to scroll down to here 🤭🤗. Very sweet of you to take so much time for our blog 🥰.
After a short rest, it's back to our faithfully waiting Pözze roach after 3 hours. On the way back we spontaneously stop at an old war memorial that commemorates the frozen soldiers.
From the monument's parking lot, a small path led to small fishing spots. Without further ado, we decide to stretch our legs a little. The detour was really worth it.
The dogs were finally able to get off the leash again. The energy was already properly thawed and had to be dissipated with a fun racing game across the large meadow.
Finally we settle down at one of the fishing spots. Therefore there is another dog photo spam 😂. Of course we put Mia on a leash as a precaution. The water here is definitely too choppy for long swim laps.
Back at the accommodation we first chill on the couch and start a cozy series. The dachshund was of course extensively cuddled.
For the evening walk, we go down the mountain again. Ian also really wanted to see the river from this morning 🥰. If the weather cooperates tomorrow, we will tackle the 20km hike. 💪
