My first day of school in Samara started at 7:00. When I arrived at school, after a conversation that lasted about 10 minutes, if you can even call it a conversation with all the 'uhms' and 'no entiendo', I was placed in the beginner class.
My classes didn't start until the afternoon, so we spent the time at the beach. It's worth mentioning that the school is right by the sea ☺️ So it's common to walk along the beach, play beach volleyball, or just chill - pure vida 🏖️
The classes are quite relaxed and alternate between morning and afternoon. This means that one day I can sleep in and the next day enjoy the free afternoon 🍹.
My host family is very warm and they make sure we feel comfortable with them. My roommate and I are well taken care of and spoiled with delicious food 🍍. Gallo Pinto, a traditional dish made of rice and beans, is a must.
As you can read, I have settled in very well. I look forward to telling you about more beautiful things from Costa Rica in my next report ☀️.
Goodbye
Tanja
