Today we were once again in beautiful Vietnam. We moored at the port of Da Nang and made our way to the 5 Marble Mountains. The mountains were named after the elements fire, metal, wood, earth and water. The Water Mountain is the largest and the only one that can be visited by tourists. We comfortably took the elevator up. There, we encountered some stairs and rocks to climb. It was quite warm and sweaty, but we enjoyed the landscape and the view of the other 4 mountains. Not only beautiful views, but also richly decorated temples and pagodas can be found on the Water Mountain. We then walked many steps down and continued by car towards Hoi An. After the effort, we deserved a delicious Vietnamese lunch. Once again, it was very tasty. After the meal, we strolled through the streets of the city. They are all decorated with colorful lanterns, and on the houses, some of which are nicely weathered, there are blooming plants. We passed the Dragon Bridge, and many small shops with souvenirs, leather goods, clothes, and many handmade items. Locals ride bicycles through the alleys, and tourists also adorn themselves with Vietnamese hats. We found a great tea house. Only deaf Vietnamese people work here, and communication is done through small labeled wooden blocks and sign language. A very charming and definitely worth seeing city. We will definitely come back again.
