Erviksanden and Hovden - to the summit through a tunnel

E phatlaladitšwe: 22.07.2020

After a short break, I drove to Erviksand. I parked at the surfer parking lot and walked across the sandy beach to Mount Hovden. There was a tunnel system halfway up the mountain. However, Noa had already warned me, so I had taken my large flashlight with me and saw a lot accordingly.

In the tunnel, there were multiple turns into hollow passages, some of which served as storage spaces, and some were decorated with a skull. But everything ended in two exits. To the left, you had to climb a staircase and then you were at a house. From there, you could observe a steep cliff.

The second exit (to the right) led to the open sea. I climbed the entire mountain and at the top, I found a coastal fort, a facility from the Second World War.

This region is known for its rapid weather changes and because there are so many shipwrecks here, they want to build an underwater tunnel for ships.

After the hike, I spent some time on the beach, reading and watching the surfers who rode the one to two-meter-high waves. The waves were crashing heavily, but the water was crystal clear.
