Day 1 - the morning after

E phatlaladitšwe: 11.09.2017

So, the night is over and when I stood in front of the mirror in the bathroom, it was clear that I have to report about the past.

Just mentioned in passing - it's NOT raining!

So, where does the desire for a morning post come from? I struggle out of bed, slightly tense shoulders, and sneak into the bathroom. There I stand in front of the sink and want to proudly look at yesterday's achievement in my face, but I have to realize that the mirror hangs too low. The sink feels knee-high, but I only now noticed the mirror. Last night, I already noticed that the bed is a bit short, but I just accepted it motionlessly. But the mirror, which shows my unflattering body zones from the neck to the waistline, puts a big grin on my face. I felt it, but didn't see it.

Now I wonder why the mirror hangs so low. Are the people here so short? Is this done to give tourists a feeling of 'size'? Was the tape measure defective during installation? Or did the handyman think as you know it: one centimeter is no size and it's for others? This deep mirror could also be a local tradition, which also explains the hunched old people. You always think 'oh gosh, the old lady surely had a hard life because she walks so hunched', but actually it's because of the stupid mirror and the low sink. But it is quite possible that the old lady still had a hard life.

But enough satire. The people from the 60s are nice. Funny too, how the young family from the hotel walks through the breakfast room with the little children, the children babble and Kant, but you know what? That's authentic, and I think I'm currently the only one who has never been here before. People know each other, they come back - to the place of deep mirrors.

Just a short experience from last night. He's still alive. I clearly felt my inner voice scratching at my door and asking for entry. I should think about the hardships of today, tomorrow it will be even more, 'Thomas, don't do it to yourself!' I heard him say.

'Go away!' I heard myself reply and he disappeared.

Today there is no cake, only rolls, sausage, cheese, and fake Nutella.

This place has a great atmosphere. I'm sitting here with about 15 other guests and it's already lively. They are funny. They are probably happy that today it's back to the future because it looks like departure day.

Well, see you later. For now, it has to be enough.
