Day 22: Visit to the Hamburg location

A similar situation to Berlin (Day 15): The view from the window is gloomy, the mood brightens up with breakfast (baked beans), it's dry when starting to the site, I have a good half-hour drive through all possible 'shades' of Hamburg - urban, suburban, quiet, park-like - and arrive dry at K2. K2 stands for Kapstadtring 2. Mountaineers like me have of course different associations...

I have never been to K2 (especially not on it), so it's a premiere. I am also welcomed here very friendly and curious. My 'post' is at the entrance of the MA-Restaurant, the colleague from the works council joins me. I can discuss something technical with him right away. You can tell that it's vacation time, you can't really speak of pouring masses. I have nice conversations about the tour, about cycling in general and can book 142 € in cash donations for the Allianz for Children Foundation, which doubles the entire amount collected and makes it available to the Tour der Hoffnung.

Many good wishes accompany me on the tour, especially that I get better weather. In a good mood, I cycle back to the hotel (about 10 km). I still need to do some grocery shopping so that I can start well supplied towards Bremen tomorrow.

Overall, a good start to the fourth week of my tour.
