We've had quite a ride today. The flight from Frankfurt to New York was flawless (start at 11 a.m. German time) and couldn't be better described in the textbook. Afterwards, in the passport control queue (which lasted several hours), we met two women from Magdeburg who were on the same plane and had previously stayed in the same hotel. The world can be that small sometimes 😅 We were a little tense at passport control at first, but Officer Turoba was super cool and even joked with us. I even dared to say that I would rather go to New Zealand 😅
After we arrived at the hotel (with 39 floors) around 1:00 a.m. German time, we explored the city, walked to Times Square and also to the Empire State Building - which you can just reach on foot 😃
We recorded a lot of first impressions that we first have to process. One thing is clear: New York is a city with many faces.
Today we fall into bed. Good night 😴
