On Tuesday (23.05.) we went from Croatia through Slovenia to Italy. We decided on Lido di Jesolo. Here we have a sandy beach for once! Unfortunately, we didn't have a chance to really make use of it. When we arrived, it was 30 degrees and scorching heat, we couldn't subject Hannes to that. Yesterday we spent the whole day in Venice and today the red flags are hanging because it's windy ...
Yeah and it's not sooo beautiful here that we wanted to stay longer. The mosquitoes have caused us a lot of trouble here. Whether it's day or night.
Unfortunately, neither clove oil nor the mosquito net helped ...
Venice was super beautiful. We already took the first ferry over, so we could take a great walk through the city as everything slowly awakened. No pushing and shoving on St. Mark's Square or the Rialto Bridge!
Then we went to Burano and Murano. Two super cute little islands. Burano is a small fishing island where there are only colorful houses. Allegedly, so that when it was foggy, the fishermen could find their houses on the way home.
Here you could stroll wonderfully and enjoy the morning hours.
Then we went to Murano. Here, dozens of glassblowers sit and the whole island seems to be a glass shop, where you can have a coffee here and there 😉
Today (25.05.) after breakfast we continued west and north. We arrived at Lake Garda in the afternoon after a 1.5 hour delay (because of traffic).
Unfortunately, we didn't really realize that today is Ascension Day. And thus the first, second and third campsites were fully booked.
After a short consideration, we thought of Lake Ledro, where we had already been with the Weigels. And it's much nicer here anyway!!!
Very nice place right by the lake surrounded by mountains! We will definitely come back here (maybe a week with the Weinhölzers ??? - camping al sole)
Here we will let our souls dangle for the last few days and enjoy some pizza or pasta!
