Happy New Year

The highlight of our stay in Sydney: New Year's Eve with a view of the Harbour Bridge.

To escape the crowds, we spent the evening on a peninsula about 2km before the bridge. There, the evening consisted of a picnic, playing cards, lying on the grass, and two magnificent fireworks displays overlooking the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.

And to start the new year right, we ended our evening with the first sunrise of the year on the East Coast.
