Day 43 - let's continue! Quick stop at grandma's and the monkey mountain

Heeeeey everyone!

This morning we prepared the camper for the next part of our journey: cleaning up, doing some basic cleaning, and unloading the scooter. The scooter needed some repairs and since it is quite difficult to load and unload, we decided to leave it in Switzerland for weight reasons. After everything was packed again, we went to visit my grandma as a surprise. She was thrilled to see us! We chatted for a while, had a piece of cake together, and after she inspected the camper, we continued our journey to Salem to visit the monkey mountain.

We had a bit of bad luck with traffic and got stuck in a jam for a while. But we managed to make it and had a great time! At the entrance, you get a handful of popcorn, which you can feed the monkeys with. It's really amazing how close you can get to the animals! Right in the middle of the park, at the exact time we were there, a feeding was taking place. The woman who distributed the food did a great job! She told us some really interesting things about the monkeys with a microphone. It was very educational and exciting! The youngest monkey was born last year and is only a year old now! So adorable!

After going through the park and distributing all the popcorn, we headed back to our camper.

We didn't feel like driving much today and looked for a nice spot in the area.

Now we are standing by a beautiful pond and enjoying the view :).

Later, we will throw some meat on the grill and have something delicious to eat.

Tomorrow we will continue to the Eisenach Kindel airfield, where the long-awaited German Racewars will take place starting from Thursday!

We are already looking forward to the days ahead!
