And now? What to do?

In the early morning hours, a big storm reaches the peninsula. So the plan for today is: sleep in and then see what happens.

After breakfast, we will treat ourselves to a workout. While one person sweats it out on the stationary bike, the other person exhausts herself after a few laps in the swimming pool and collapses onto the sun lounger to read.

But the sun doesn't stay away for too long today either. Hiking and swimming gear is quickly packed. So we still don't have to make a decision ;-)

The Mini takes us up a steep mountain road to the decaying village of Skitaca, where, according to the guidebook, only one person still lives. A beautiful round trip awaits us with magnificent views of the coast of the peninsula and the islands of Unije and Cres. The lush greenery sometimes makes the path disappear. But that's no problem for us.

By the way, the colorful cemetery of the village is remarkably well-maintained for a hermitage....
