Hello :)

Yes, we landed yesterday at 7 PM (local time).

Both flights (from Düsseldorf to Madrid - and Madrid to Santo Domingo) went pretty smoothly.

Except that I lost my ticket in Madrid on the way to the connecting flight. However, I was still able to board the plane with my passport. I even went through the business class entrance, which allowed me to be much faster than Anna and Dominik. Both of them are traveling with me and will also be there for the nine months.

When we arrived, they tried to buy us a tourist card. But we had already been warned, so we quickly showed our visa and passed through the controls easily.

In Santo Domingo, we were picked up by the chauffeur of the headmistress, in whose school we will be working, and taken to our home for this time. Only Dominik will be staying with the headmistress, as only girls live with us here.

By the way, they are all really nice and make an effort to welcome us.

We had dinner together yesterday. It would have been really difficult without Dominik, because he has the courage to speak up and has lightened the mood.

In the room, Anna and I sleep with two sisters who are studying here.

Everything has been unpacked from the suitcases, which is slowly making my brain realize that we will be here for a long time :)

Anna and I have already taken an exploratory tour together.

Some aspects of the lifestyle remind me of Africa, which makes it more familiar to me.

Now I am lying here under my mosquito net and the fan, and I'm thinking about what to do with the rest of the day :D

Adiòs ;)
