By the way...

...we are back in Germany! In the last blogs, I left out some things so that we could surprise our parents. For example, the sale of Jeepy. Just before Cairns, we offered him on various websites and 2 days later, he was already promised to new owners - also a backpacker couple. So he is in good hands now. On the day of the sale, there were actually a few tears. It's hard to give up your home, even if you only lived in it for 2 months.

We spent our last day in Australia on a canyoning tour at Behana Gorge. 3 hours of pure adrenaline! Cliff jumping from 6, 10, and 12 meters. However, Basti was the only one who jumped from the last step. The pictures say it all 😀

On June 18th, the plane was supposed to take off at 6:15 PM. Before that, we took one last walk along the Esplanade in Cairns, observed pelicans, ate at our favorite snack bar, and took a quick dip in the pool. Of course, the rain had to say goodbye to us as well. A sad atmosphere came naturally. Was it a mistake to fly back so soon? Will we miss all of this? Definitely... the people, the nature, all the experiences... Australia is an incredible continent that you have to see! One thing is for sure: we were not there for the last time. There are still so many things to see... we are already looking forward to the next time!!!! Thank you Australia... for everything ❤
