Today we set off towards the south with light luggage to drive as far as possible. The path initially led relatively flat into the Stillach Valley and gradually but steadily increased in the further course. After just over 10 km we reached the steepest section, a few hairpin bends with a gradient of 15%, too much for us, we had to get off. We pushed for some time and were of course overtaken several times by other cyclists, either electrically supported or on mountain bikes and half our age. So our confidence didn't suffer too much. After almost 20 km, the end of the paved road was reached and thus also our path, as it seemed sensible to continue on the following gravel track was only possible with mountain bikes. After all, we were just over 1300 meters high. After photographic and geographical location documentation, we made our way back. We only briefly interrupted the descent into the valley at a small alpine pasture, where we treated ourselves to an apple spritzer and a cheesecake. After that, we literally rolled comfortably until Oberstdorf. Here we had another cup of coffee and then tackled the definitely last climb of our tour, namely to our accommodation. After 1416.16 km, our tour is over. Tomorrow we are only going to the train station and from the train station in Cologne back home.
