We made a great, exciting, exhausting and not quite cheap trip.
Seen a lot in the 2 weeks, many impressions, we enjoyed the vastness of the country, the extreme friendliness of the Africans, the sun, the sand and the sea and were able to escape the German drizzle for a few days...
We were very happy that some of you virtually traveled with us...
Many thanks also to our family who cheered us on and everyone who was always there and read along…
Personally, one thing stuck with me, which Alex, the guide who courageously drove us down the Terror Pass to the Canyon, said...
He reported that there is a tour in the Namibian winter where 3 overnight stays are made in the Canyon. This tour is very strenuous, so people over 60 years old are not allowed.
I will be 53 this year. Alex confirms to me that it is right to live in the present...to do things that you enjoy and that are important to you, as long as you can and have the means...it doesn't make sense to wait for things that are not coming or things that are not meant to be...
I will take this with me from Africa and always remember that at the end of the day, only the memories of good things remain and that the last shirt has no pockets...
See you soon...
